San Luis Reservoir is at near capacity with best bites at Portuguese Cove and Dinosaur Point. using jerkbaits from shore.
Neon green shad imitation works best, and for now the shad are just below the surface, as the striped bass herd the baitgish against the shore.
For bigger striped bass out of a boat, use Live minnows working best the mouth of Portuguese, and the coves to the south of Dinosaur Point.
If you want to troll use Lucky Crafts at 30 to 50 feet.
As to, O’Neill Forebay,lots of shakers caught on cut anchovy for multiple opportunities.
